Productions
Each trimester will conclude with two full performances on a Friday and Saturday evening. Enrolling students MUST be available for final performances. Scheduled dates are approximate and subject to change based on realistic performance dates, to be finalized shortly. The plays below were selected with approximately 10 cast members in mind. Titles may change based on club enrollment.
TRIMESTER 1:
The Empty Pot
When the emperor, who is saddled with two egotistical sons and their jealous and scheming mothers, realizes that it is time to choose a successor to the throne, he is horrified at the prospects in his own palace and turns to the villagers. The emperor puts out a decree that all subjects receive a seed, and, in a year's time, each person must bring to the emperor his or her best effort. Everyone is put to the test as to how they will respond to the emperor's decree. Will integrity prevail? Or is the desire for the most powerful seat in the kingdom too great a reward to stay true to oneself? A delightful and touching piece of children’s theater with a surprise ending and a wonderful life lesson to walk away with.
Rehearsal Dates: August 27 - November 7
Performance Dates: November 9 - 10

Select students will sing live, while other students will act out the stories on stage. Live performances will be accompanied by student-made, pre-recorded video. This production will be PG-rated, suitable for the whole family.
